Sound Animal - NewSoundLand [Dark Ambient, Review]

Bild
Close your eyes, relax, let the music take you to the dark and emotional journey, which you will never forget. This is possible, thanks to Sound Animal from Berkeley, California. A full-length album "NewSoundLand" welcomes you with a beautiful artwork, and catches the attention with some unique  aura. An impressive arsenal of instruments used on this pretty long record (guitar, bow, silver flute, double shepherd's flute, pungi, jaw harp, khaen, electric tennis racket, overtones, melodica, harmonica, bodhrán and found objects) generate a very diverse sound landscape. The music opens you a wide range of possibilities to use your imagination and make your own experience. This is an unexpected surprise foe anyone who likes avant-garde ambient, which is not similar to most soundtrack music thought. For some listeners this record may be hard to get into and listen it through, but is will definitely blow your mind. 9/10  By Psychoman https://kryrartambient. bandc

Abstract Deviation - Terpsihora [Progressive Metal, Review]

Bild
We live in a time when people read headlines but don't read the texts underneath;  when listeners turn off a song after five seconds, if it hasn't hooked them with anything;  when the script of the film is tried to chew the viewer as much as possible, so that people do  not have to think again. In the modern world, the TERPSIHORA album will be a very  uncomfortable one . Because this album is one of those releases that will be really  revealed only after 5-10 plays. An album which you need to dig, read social media posts  and parse texts. An album, which in order to understand you need to have some kind of  musical and not only erudition. Abstract Deviation knew what they were doing - a separate  respect for their courage.     Pros: - Features. Thousands of them. In might be called “ overproduced", but I never perceived this term in  a negative way. It feels like they worked on the material even more than it was necessary. - Sound. It 's awesome. As a

Train to Elsewhere - Samhain a Path to Autumn [Doom Metal, Review]

Bild
A Moscow based band Train to Elsewhere has already made a good impression with their first demo "The Path". Traditional doom metal with a good portion of stoner on the record could convince that this band will have something even better coming in the future. Indeed, during 2021 Train to Elsewhere has brought us some good live recordings as well as a full-length album "Samhain", which was released recently with bonuses via Kryrart Records. The album demonstrates an impressive evolution of the band: well balanced guitars with some doom metal but also progressive touch and almost meditative long compositions create a unique melancholic atmosphere. Very good musicianship combined with less polished old-school-like production resulted in a high quality debut record with a lot of potential for the future. Talking about things that can be optimized on the future I can suggest to work on vocals, even though at current stage they are pretty well. A small additional plus fo

21st Century Archetype - True Progressor 2.0 [Industrial/Alternative Metal, Review]

Bild
The band 21st century Archetype might be described as an industrial/alternative band combining however a large variety of different styles like hip-hop / glitch-hop / neurohop and rapcore. This formation is active already since a pretty long time in the underground scene, and the latest release "True Progressor 2.0" is actually a remake of the album from 2016 that was largely positively accepted and features a wery well done music video for the song "Planet Patriot". So a listener might ask why the band should remake a such well accepted album? The answer would be: a change of stylistic direction. This record is heavier and more intensiv, it includes more guitar work and aggression, it is now less hip-hop influenced and much more alternative and even metal like. This change allows also to deliver the main message of this work about the nearest future where humans are just biorobots living senceless life in a digital world. True Progressor 2.0 is a great conceptual

Legacy of Satan - Apocalypse [Black/Death Metal, Review]

Bild
A new coming formation "Legacy of Satan" has introduced earlier this year a one track demo, which has already declared the style of the band that can be interesting for the fans of such bands as Belphegor, Dark Funeral and Marduk. Recent mini-album completed the evolution of the band and did a clear statement: this black metal band is something that you should hear once at least and it is worth to gain attention in the underground extreme metal scene. The first mini-album "Apocalypse" features extreme, fast and infernal black/death metal with very variable vocals and some symphonic background samples. Moreover, deathcore-like breakdowns add this record some originality and can surprise you from time to time during listening. Vocals as well as guitars on this work can be definitely highlighted: catchy riffs and impressive vocal skills of the frontman are present here. Amazing artwork supplements the overall impression of a very well crafted record made by skilled m

Our task is to "open our eyes" and show the listener our vision of the world and culture in general. The world in which you have been living is enslaved and divided by world confessions. Only scientific progress makes people revise the ancient laws of life. And accept the new scientifically proven reali

Sound Animal - NewSoundLand [Release, Avant-Garde]

Bild
Kryrart Ambient has released an album of the avantgarde dark ambient band Sound Animal from the USA.   Slow down for a magic carpet ride as each Lo-Fi tune transports you to an exotic state of mind in a dramatic location mimicked by the instruments. You're not a tourist here. You inhabit each place like a dream, a lifetime. Released by Kryrart Ambient label in Germany. The album is subtly different from much ambient in that it's not electronic, no samples or synths. But an electrified tennis racket played with a rock.   The lengthy Avant-Garde Dark Ambient Instrumentals are created always with a Gibson Paul II guitar, and also dulcimers played with a bow, silver flute, double shepherd's flute, pungi, jaw harp, khaen, electric tennis racket, overtones, melodica, harmonica, bodhrán and found objects.   Guest appearance by Steve Gilmartin on "City at the Edge of Time" playing guitar and bottle.   The pressured feeling of the self about to burst in a work camp see
